A variety of technology related courses are offered in the high schools and
middle schools in Lee County. Upon completion of these courses, students can
either seek immediate employment, or they can articulate credit to Edison
College or receive advance standing at High Tech Central and High Tech North or
Edison College. The emphasis of Technical Education in the high school is to
allow students the opportunity to do hands-on exploration in a variety of
programs which can lead to immediate employment or advanced training.
Many of the high school technical and career programs allow the students to
do on-the-job training or internships while still attending high school for
their academics.
