A career academy is a specialized learning community within a
school. This provides students with a unique atmosphere in which
to interact with both teachers and peers. A career academy
involves teachers from different subjects working together as a
team. Through team-designed projects, students see the relevance
of what they are learning.
Partnerships with the business community provide academy
students the opportunity to participate in field trips,
internships and on the job training.
