The Goal of Adult and Community Education is to provide a quality education to the citizens of Lee County 16 years of age and older. Classes are offered at both day and evening sites throughout Lee County, with special emphasis on those students pursuing a High School Diploma, English as a Second Language and marketable skills for employment.

GED Preparation:

The General Education Development Test (GED) provides an opportunity to earn a nationally recognized high school diploma. GED preparation classes are held throughout the county in area high schools, technical centers and other community locations.

ESOL Programs:

Lee County’s Adult Education program provides English as Second Language (ESOL) class for beginning to advanced level students.  The curriculum focuses upon work-related terminology, skills and culture. This allows non-English speakers the opportunity to become more productive employees

In addition, Adult and Community Education offers evening classes for enrichment and leisure.  Classes are offered at a variety of locations, with the curriculum geared to the requests, interests and needs of the community. Courses are generally offered in the evening at a nominal cost to cover the expenses of operating each class.
